Almond Pretzel

Almond pretzel is a delicious sweet pastry that you can make at home with simple ingredients. Although the almond pretzel recipe includes many ingredients, the process of cooking the pretzel is usually not too difficult.

Almond Pretzel Ingredients

  • Flour - 1 kg
  • Milk - 1 and 1/3 cups
  • Egg yolks - 12 pcs.
  • Sugar - 1.5 cups
  • Butter or margarine - 300 g
  • Raisins - 200 g
  • Almond plates - 100 g
  • Yeast - 40-50 g
  • Powdered sugar - 1-2 tbsp.
  • Salt - 3/4 tsp
  • Vanillin

Almond Pretzel Recipe

Almond pretzel is cooked according to this recipe - dissolve the yeast in warm milk, add half the flour, mix, cover and put in a warm place to rise. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar, vanilla, then add the whipped butter until white. Combine the mixture with the approached dough, add salt, the remaining flour and knead the elastic dough. Sort the raisins, rinse, dry and add to the dough. Cover the prepared dough and keep warm. When the dough has doubled in size, transfer it to a floured board and knead.

Roll out the kneaded dough for the almond pretzel with your hands in the form of a tourniquet, making it a little thinner towards the edges. Weave the ends of the bundle, giving the shape of a beautiful pretzel, sprinkle the pretzel with almond slices, transfer to a baking sheet, and put in the oven for 40-50 minutes for baking.

After the almond pretzel is removed from the oven, so that the bottom of the pretzel does not sweat after cooking, the pretzel must be transferred to paper folded in several layers or to a wire rack. Before serving, sprinkle the pretzel with almonds with powdered sugar and place on a dish lined with paper towels.
