Coriander

Coriander is a type of annual, spicy plant that is used in various branches of human activity. Most popularly, it has established itself in cooking as a spice. Over time, the beneficial properties of coriander on the body have also been noted. The origin of coriander is attributed to such a region as the Mediterranean. The first name that coriander received was "bugs" and similar ones. The reason for this was the specific smell that coriander emits during growth. In cooking, both leaves and seeds are used, i.e. coriander fruit. The purpose of coriander in cooking is flavoring, various sausages, cheeses, canned meat and fish, Borodino bread. Coriander is very well combined with other spices, due to which it is part of various seasonings. The use of coriander in perfumery is due to the fact that perfumes with the addition of coriander essential oil acquire a grassy, spicy shade. Coriander oil is successfully combined with bergamot, sage, orange, etc. The use of coriander has been noted by such well-known perfume brands as Coco Chanel, Dior Poison, Gucci Rush, and others.

In medical practice, coriander has extensive potential. It is mainly able to help with diseases of the digestive tract, gastritis, duodenal ulcer, stomach. A decoction of coriander seeds has a beneficial effect on colds of the lungs. The similarity of coriander to fennel and cumin is not limited to taste factors alone. The therapeutic effect that these herbs have on the body is also similar. These types of spices help cleanse the body and remove toxins.
